Why it started
Every language app promises fluency and hands you the same neutral, textbook Spanish regardless of where you are headed. Land in Costa Rica with that Spanish and the first thing a local says back will not match a single lesson you took.
Costa Rica Spanish Experience starts from the opposite direction: it teaches the Spanish that is actually spoken here — the voseo, the tone, the slang — first, and the grammar to support it second. Online lessons come first because that is where most people are today; the immersion trips will build on the same idea once the destinations are ready.
Pura vida is not a phrase you memorise. It's a way people actually talk, and you cannot learn it from a textbook.
